Make a Dual Boot Between Windows Mobile and Android

Saturday, December 11, 2010

In this articles, i want to share about how to make a dual boot OS between Windows Mobile or Android at you startup your HTC HD2 Android Mobile. Now you can install dual boot of OS mobile for HTC HD2. HTC HD2 is so powerfull Smartphone. Many users have dual-booted their HD2 with Android, but selecting which OS the device boots into at startup can be a hassle. Courtesy of the developers at XDA-Developers, you can now choose at startup whether your phone boots into Android or Windows Mobile using a small program.

It's Simply Tutorial :
  1. download the AndroidWindowsBoot.zip file from here
  2. Connect your phone to your computer via USB and transfer the CAB file anywhere on your device. To install Android Windows Boot, your phone must be booted into Windows Mobile.
  3. On your phone, run ‘File Explorer’ from the start menu and navigate to the location where you saved the cab file. Simply tap on it to install, and you are done.
  4. Now when you reboot your device, it will ask you at startup whether you want to boot into Android or Windows Mobile.
  5. By default, the application will boot into Android after 5 seconds if the user does not make a choice within that time. Those who find this delay inconvenient can change it by editing the “\Program Files\Android Windows Boot\Delay.txt” file.
In case you do not have Android installed on your device, the option to boot into Android will be disabled, so you can even choose to install Android after installing this application.

Android Windows Boot has been tested to work on HTC HD2 but may work on other phones running Windows Mobile as well. It will NOT work on Windows Phone 7. via xda forum
